Update#4 More About Me
So my mom has been so proud of me this week. This book club has helped me grow confident and progress in being a sophisticated leader. I may seem small and "too cute" to most people, but I am also determined to inspire the world. I have have been this way since seven. I thought if I could be inspired, I could inspire too, even if it meant I had to lose my goofy self. I may have made a couple mistakes on the way, but that did not mean I'd lose my courage. I admit, I have doubted myself along the way too.  But knew it wouldn't be fair to sit there and watch people lose their inspiration and slowly began fail. Like Michael Jordan quotes "I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying." I too will stay determined, sophisticated, courageous, and persistent. It doesn't matter if you think it is impossible, make it happen. Take ACTION!

Update #3 KJ's Doctor Appointment:)
Today I had my check up at the doctor's office. The night before though, I had a meltdown. I started to cry because I hadn't had a shot in 6 years but  remembered it did hurt. My mom reassured me and told me it was just a checkup. But the next day, found myself getting a shot. The Physician's assistant told me that my mom didn't know this was required. Another lady came in and I had gained the strength to overcome the fear and pain that was coming. I jumped on the patient bed and told my mommy to hold me and that I was gonna have to squeeze her hands. PRICK!! The lady made sure the shot was fast as possible like I told her to do. Twice. My mommy was so proud that I did not scream, shout or cry. And the surprising part was that I didn't have to try to pretend it didn't hurt. It was as bad as a an ant trying to to pinch you. EXACTLY! I can't wait until my next appointment.

Update #2 KJ's Book Club

A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I came up with this amazing idea to start a book club over the summer. So later on, I came up with some things I could do during the club;split the children into groups of four depending on their reading map test scores and reading levels at school. If they don't have one I will independently test them. I will hire some of my ''MATURE''friends at school and family members available during summer to work with each group. Like I said earlier, they will be split into groups of four depending on their levels, taking turns reading with whoever their leader is. We will have snack time and will be asking all parents if they have allergic reactions. Also, if your child has disabilities, if you want, we can put them with children just like them if you feel uncomfortable. Any questions? If you do ask them in the comment box below.

Update #1 KJ's miracle

As most of you all know my mom posts videos on an app called Periscope. Well, my daddy, MossMan as he is called when he shows up on Motivation Monday, used me as motivation to all people who are on Periscope. He connected me learning how to ride a bike with challenges we face in life. I did not know what I experienced inspired so many people. At first people get excited about being able to do something, and then they realize how hard it is and what it requires. It is very important to remember this; whatever you have to go through, it’s worth it. Also, people tend to hold on to things that occurred 20,30,50 years ago. Don't let that small happening tear you apart because it will. God tells us that every day. The last advice I'd like to share with you is not to go back to the problems that once kept you from achieving, because that is the Devil's chance to take you back to the obstacles you have already overcome. If you want some more motivation just go to www.perisope.tv/mossgirls101 on Mondays and take action!!!

Kalicia's Introduction

Today I'm going to introduce you to me, how life has taken off in success, and my family. I am imaginative, creative, funny, and a proud African American child of God. Most people might of thought that I was an adult but I'm actually in the third grade reading eighth grade leveled books. As you can see I am intelligent too, but that's just a sliver of what has been good in my life. I'm only eight so don't expect me to use big words such as clarify, zealous, and anxiety even though I do know what those particular words mean. I have an incredible mom(mommy as I call her) with a business excelling each day called MossGirls. She planning a Gala at the Harvey Gant Center in Uptown Charlotte. I'll be there. After all she is my mother(a sweet one too). An encouraging dad(daddy as I call him). He founded Abundant Life Christian Worship center(ALCWC)and gave it up to one of the associate pastors to found another church closer to us. So now we go to Elevation until we find a building to start it in. I have a blessed sister who was accepted into NC State college and was hired to her same job she was hired to here in Charlotte: Belk. And finally my other sister who was also blessed with the love of Journalism and who took college classes which she considers herself as a senior but actually a junior not to be smart. Ha ha !!And that's day 1.See you soon.
